As Australia’s largest wagering business, Tabcorp are one of our largest clients. Each month we create a new newsletter that goes out to all staff members across the country for inter communications. When Tabcorp approached Mini Design to re-design their newsletter they wanted to create something that would grab their staffs attention as staff engagement with the newsletter had fallen.
At Mini Design, as specialists in small business graphic and web design we apply the same principals to any job no matter how small or big. With the Tabcorp newsletter we looked at the audience it was being viewed by, what type and style of newsletter was good for grabbing attention and how we could use our finding to benefit our client.
The newsletter was traditionally a printed document but more and more employees were not printing and viewing on a tablet or on their computer. We decided to focus on creating a fully digital newsletter with internal page hyperlinks and index page again fully hyperlinked. This meant the newsletter was specifically designed to be viewed on a digital devise rather than for printing.
To match the new features we also needed a design to bring the newsletter visually into the 21st century. As we were not limited by numbers of pages to keep printing down we gave articles room to breath and designed pages around articles rather than cramming them into small spaces.
The design is bright and fun with the information being brought across in digestible amounts of text with quality imagery to make the pages/articles visually appealing.
