Time to redesign your small business website

It’s time to redesign your business website. Why? This week, we will discuss five reasons why you should do so.

1. Generate meaningful search engine optimised (SEO) content

How many times are you using Google per week? You use it, so do potential customers! The secret to SEO is content. By redesigning your website, it is an opportunity to change your old and dull content that probably has not much effect on search engines to optimised keywords as well as meaningful content that will drive more traffic to your website. More traffic also means more leads.

2. Drive traffic, leads and customers

As aforementioned, the more traffic into your website, means more potential customers and leads. Therefore, it is so important to place a ‘call to action’ strategically so that it grabs visitors’ attention immediately. This reason can be the top goal you aim to achieve when you want to redesign a website because the point of having a website is to allow any potential or existing customers to interact with your business.

3. Content developing is a continuous process

The simple formula here is the more content you have, the more visitors as well as customers. Obviously, a 10 page website will never beat a 100 page website. Develop content on a weekly basis, like a blog, to add fresh content so that when people search for something related to your business, you will hopefully on the first page of the search list.

4. Change your old, complicated system to an advanced Content Management System (CMS)

Advanced CMS now allows you to edit, publish and build pages easily without the need to understand complicated coding. If your website does not currently have blogging engine for you to add new content every week, you should probably engage with a small business web or graphic designer to work on updating your website. With a new CMS, you will be able to add new landing pages especially for new marketing promotions and add new sharing plugins.

5. Measure your success

The only way to find out if your website is working well or not is to measure the website conversion rate. Isn’t it good to have a website that tells you the number of visit, new visitors, repeat visitors and leads? It will definitely be a great advantage for any small business, as it should deliver real results to your marketing team.
