History Journeys

When Mini Design was approached to create branding for History journeys we wanted to create a design that embodied what History journeys was all about. One of the greatest joys of History and researching history is uncovering something you didn’t know beforehand. We wanted to bring an element of discovery into the branding.

Our solution became obvious when we played around with the two first letters from the name, H and J. The space inside the H gave an opportunity to use the negative space to create the shape of the J. As with history and research things may not be perfectly obvious at first sight but when you look a little closer the shape of the J starts to appear in the negative space.
